"I was primarily focused on working on a couple of group projects (The Slumburbs, The Movement) during the 3 or 4 years prior to releasing 'The Blue Collar E.P.' During those aforementioned years, I was commuting from Atlanta to New Orleans on the weekends to record and perform music with some friends in NOLA (Tipitina's, House of Blues). The music we recorded was slow to find a release date, so while I waited, I put together an album and booked and played some solo shows. Within a month of deciding to stay home, I wrote, recorded, and released 'The Blue Collar E.P.'" -Jo-DBL
